Andrej simulated sparse readout on data recorded in serial readout mode.[full spectrum, inset] Noise increases significantly as the number of adjacent channels used for common mode calculation drops below 2 on each side (from 2.6 ADC sigma to 4.8 ADC sigma resolution on 241Am photo-peak at 250 ADC).

Marko informed us on the meeting with Peter Weilhammer. He stressed the following:
New chips arrived to CERN with time-walk compensation. Tests on old hybrids.
TODO: Coincident data with LJ351 module. [no data yet!]
TODO: Sparse read-out emulation on serial read-out [images 1, 2].
TODO: Design capton-cables for densly packed TAB (tape-assisted bonded) silicon detectors. Think about 2nd generation mechanics.
Enrico made design of the 68pin hybrid and distBoard. The pin-out doesn't match ours.
We continue with our design mainly because it is compatible with the mechanics. Marko talks to Peter and asks wheter Enrico's fit to the proposed mechanics.
Erik finishes hybrid design by tuesday. Start production. Gold-plating in CERN. Remove excesive copper for gold-plating.

Due to holidays of the supplier no information about the connectors yet. Inquiry for 20 sets made.
Enrico confirmed the design while making his own. Is his pin-out the same as ours? What about the mechanical properties (board dimensions, screws)? Ours is communicated to Pablo so Enrico's design should conform to ours.
Erik:
Add hole dimensions.

Increase outer screw-hole radius to 8 mm: spacer thickness then 2 mm. Immediate hole surrounding should be passivated. Overall hybrid dimension is suitable.

Mechanics. Finished in 6 weeks, middle of March. Spacers should be plastic rather than metal. Inner diameter 4.3 mm, outer 8 mm.

Small pitch of SAMTEC connectors, need of capton cable to connect to distBoard.
Solution: take 68 pin ERNI 1.27 mm pitch connector ( http://www.erni.com/DB/PDF/SMC/ERNI-SMC-Catalog-0900-e.pdf), exists only as SMT, for hybrid a right angle male (p. 15 – part # 114805), for distBoard a vertical male (p. 18 – part # 114807) IDC cabel connector is female (p. 31– part # 124263)
ERNI connector height is 4.2 mm over PCB plane (proposed spacer height 4.5 & 5 mm), total width 48.2 mm.
Hybrids, goldened in CERN were tested, (better proccess than in Germany), we recieve two on Monday.

Mechanics (Dejan confirmed Pablo's design). Based on 1 mm hybrid thickness . Hybrids fixed to grooves with latches. Alternative: put hybrids on (four) long screws fixed on base plate and separate hybrods with suitable spacers. (Dejan makes a suggestion to Pablo).
Capton cables. Double-sided. Marko talks to Carlos in CERN. Cables of graded length. Hard to count on equal cable lengths anyhow.
Dejan talks about cable lengths with Pablo. Cables should agree with current mechanic design.
