Postdoc position available for the
BELLE particle identification system upgrade project at the J. Stefan Institute

The detector development lab of the Experimental particle physics department (F9)  at the J. Stefan Institute, Ljubljana, Slovenia,  has a postdoctoral position available for research work on the aerogel RICH, an upgrade  of the particle identification system  in the forward direction of the BELLE spectrometer.

The postdoc is expected to work on all main topics of the project, from the detector R+D to simulation of the detector response and optimisation of the counter parameters. He/she is  expected to have hardware experience, in particular in detector R+D, read-out electronics  and data acquisition with PC based systems. The position is for one year.

The candidate should have a PhD in physics or the equivalent.  He/she should mail the curriculum vitae, publication list and the names and email addresses of three referees (or arrange for three letters of reference to be sent to the address below).
