Testing at CERN revealed some errors:
Line A8 (clikin on IB) short-circuited to Vee. Problem solved with improvised solution.
Incoming connector (50-pin) has switched A in B contact row. Special adpater on the cable from IB used.
On Andrej's return to Ljubljana with accurate specification of erros and list of necessary adjustments a new iteration of the distribution board (DB) is foreseen (V2).
Mechanics: Last pieces of information regarding the connectors send to Pablo on March 24th .
Basic plan met. (Moving on to the extrapolated part).
Testing at CERNu:
1st hybrid (A) equiped with two chips and 2nd hybrid (C) with one chip.
hybrid A:
works properly with and without the distribution board (DB)
noise 1-2 ADC counts
stops working if cable to long (0.5m) with DB (it was not tested withot DB)
will be euipped with a sensor and further tested.
hybrid C
doesn't work with DB
but works with a direct connection to IB with a short cable (no DB)
the problem will be investigated by observing control signals of the chip (already at CERN or later in Lj.) Noise: weak contol signals set the chip nearly out of the operating conditions.
Extrapolated plan foresaw 5 hybrids with sensors by April 9th. Is this still achievable?
Next meeting on Friday April 9th probably not possible . Either on Thursday, April 8th (phone-meeting) or on Tuesday, April 13th?
