The high‐luminosity Large Hadron Collider is the flagship project of particle physics for

the next decade. To cope with the increased particle density from up to 200 simultaneous

proton‐proton collisions, both omni‐purpose experiments, ATLAS and CMS, plan for a

substantial upgrade of their detectors, notably a complete exchange of the tracking

system.

This project deals with the Slovenian contribution to the ATLAS tracker upgrade, the Inner

Tracker (ITk). As part of the ITk, the group is responsible for three distinct work‐packages:

the beam protection and luminosity measurement system (BCM’) in the inner pixel

volume, the procurement and testing of bus tapes for the strip end‐cap detector and the

radiation QA of the strip sensors.
