I am Jyotirmoi Borah, a postdoctoral researcher at IJS, working at the Belle and Belle II experiments at KEK, Japan. I completed my Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, India, in 2023, working on rare decays of strange bottom (Bs) mesons at the Belle experiment. I also worked on rare electroweak penguin decays, which are considered sensitive to new physics beyond the standard model of particle physics.

At IJS, my research focuses on testing the lepton flavor universality (LFU) using the Belle II datasets. LFU is considered an "accidental" symmetry within the standard model. Any violation will naturally point to new physics beyond the standard model.
